To install 4 mounted panels in different locations to maximise energy usage for the school and community.
The panels needed to be mounted on poles to avoid wind storms, as directed and advised by the Solar company on their site visit.
4 SOLAR PANELS : 4 LOCATIONS
Panel 1: Community use, PTA meetings & energy for teachers from GES
Panel 2: School use for computers, lighting, evening classes
Panel 3: Teacher accommodation, teacher training, CPD, literacy & numeracy workshops
Panel 4: Community, church, Adult Education & meetings- light resources
IT subject introduced into school curriculum.
Adult Education classes in literacy and numeracy available in the evenings.
Provide energy for sewing machines and enable the Bags for Life sewing co-op to teach adults new skills.
- Community activities, celebrations and meetings to be held
- Bring sustainable income to the women on the Island
- Provide electricity for accommodation and the GES teachers personal use
- Enable the two teacher training students to study in the evenings
